From Farm to Your Table

Our Process

At Fairburn’s Eggs, we take pride in complete control of our supply chain—from growing our own grain to delivering farm-fresh eggs to your local store. Our vertically integrated process ensures quality, freshness, and sustainability at every step.

Growing Our Own Grain

We start by cultivating high-quality grains on our farms in Lincolnshire. This ensures a sustainable, traceable food source for our hens, reducing reliance on imported feed and lowering our carbon footprint.

Milling Nutrient-Rich Feed

Our on-site feed mill produces balanced, high-nutrition feed tailored to our hens’ needs. By controlling the entire process, we ensure optimal hen health, egg quality, and sustainability.

Rearing Healthy Chicks

We rear our own chicks in carefully managed environments, ensuring they receive the best start in life. Our welfare-first approach provides the right nutrition, warmth, and care to help them grow strong.

Happy Hens, High-Welfare Farms

Our hens live in high-welfare environments, from free-range fields to modern, spacious barns. They have access to nutritious feed, fresh water, and plenty of space to roam, perch, and socialise.

Collecting & Grading Fresh Eggs

Eggs are collected daily and transported to our state-of-the-art packing centre. Each egg is graded for size, weight, and quality, ensuring only the best reach your table.

Packing & Dispatching with Care

We use cutting-edge technology to pack eggs efficiently while maintaining the highest food safety standards. Our packaging is also 100% recyclable, supporting our sustainability goals.

Delivered Fresh to Your Local Store

Our fleet of Fairburn’s lorries delivers fresh eggs to supermarkets, wholesalers, and businesses nationwide. With complete control over the journey, we guarantee farm-fresh eggs every time.

The Foundation of Healthy Hens

Our Feed

A great egg starts with the right nutrition. That’s why we grow our own grain and mill our own feed—giving us total control over what our hens eat.

  • Homegrown grains provide a nutritious, balanced diet.

  • No unnecessary additives—just natural, high-quality feed.

  • Optimised feed formulas for different hen life stages.

  • Sustainable sourcing reduces environmental impact.

Happy Hens, Better Eggs

Hen Welfare

Hen welfare is at the heart of everything we do. We follow strict RSPCA Assured and British Lion standards to ensure our hens are:

  • Well-fed and nourished with a diet tailored to their needs.

  • Housed in high-welfare environments, with plenty of space to roam.

  • Monitored daily by experienced stock teams and veterinary professionals.

  • Free to express natural behaviours, from perching to dust-bathing.
