Egg-stra funds for life-saving air ambulance

Jan 11, 2021

Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance has received a £6,250 New Year boost thanks to a double fundraising effort by Fairburn’s Eggs.

Sales of our Lincolnshire Free Range Eggs have topped up the charity’s funds by £5,500 in the last two years. And recent festive fundraising by our staff, where we donated funds instead of sending Christmas cards, has added an additional £750.

We shell out 1p from every dozen of our regional free range eggs sold in local Asda and Lincolnshire Co-op stores to the Air Ambulance. Across seven years, we've raised a total of £21,500!

Our CEO Daniel Fairburn (pictured) said: “I’m really proud that we’re able to kick 2021 off with such a large donation to this brilliant charity. Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance is literally a life-saver and I’d like to say thank you to all our customers who bought our fresh eggs and helped us to raise this total.”

Tanya Taylor, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, said: “Patients’ lives depend on us being there and Covid-19 has had a huge impact on our ability to fund our life saving work. No one wakes up thinking they will need the help of the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, but with crews on call 365 days of the year, our highly skilled doctors and paramedics help people involved in life-threatening incidents every day.

“Whether on board the helicopter or one of our Critical Care Cars, our crews are there for patients involved in emergencies when every minute matters. Continued support from local businesses such as Fairburn’s Eggs helps make this possible. On behalf of the team here at Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, thank you Fairburn’s for making a difference”.
