LJ Fairburn will move to cage-free throughout our supply chain by 2025, whilst continuing to invest in organic and free-range production.

For some time this move has been incorporated in our agricultural and business planning, and we are now working closely with our suppliers and retail partners to ensure a smooth transition.

The welfare of our hens is paramount and forms the foundations of our business. As a third-generation, independent family business, we’ve been producing eggs since 1951 and have a very hands-on approach to egg production.

From growing grain on our farms and milling the feed given to our flocks, rearing our own chicks, to packing and delivering the eggs we sell, we want to ensure our business is sustainable and future-proof for generations of Fairburns to come.
